I'm going to bend mine back a skosh as I don't want it pushing my head forward like so many seats do nowadays due to 'safety standards'. I totally took them all out of my wife's old commuter Fusion as those were so curvy they made me bend into a loop.
Once I get the right Bend Back amount, I won't need them to ratchet as I will be the vast majority driver (wife maybe once a year).
I ordered a pair and I am having them covered with vinyl at an upholstery shop now. $70 each so I'll be into it just under $400 total. I didn't pay 114 for the parts, 80 each I think.
Wow! Things have changed. I've never seen such a ruckus over headrests in all my 68 years! This is really amusing to me as I've never adjusted a headrest in my life! (I just HAD TO COMMENT)

The new non-adjustable headrests are angled forward more than they used to be. With no adjustment, and depending on your body height and the angle you set your seatback, the headrests can force your head forward instead of a natural upright position.

I never had a problem before. Probably drove over 100 different cars and trucks so far. The super duty without adjustable headrests are like torture devices designed to break your neck slowly.
You can remove them but if you get into an accident, you will break your neck quickly. Or you can replace or modify the headrest and not break your neck at all
Tried adjusting mine the first day I got it (I had a 17 that I traded in for my 22) and thought they had changed the manner on which you could adjust them as the owners manual says they adjust but apparently not the case. Will complain for the heck of it first oil change.
Have a 21 Silverado from work and the headrest is vertical not sure why Ford does the stupid angled forward.
They tilt on my '21 but this is a common complaint across all manufactures with fixed style, ive had to do it in the past. Just take a leg of the headrest, put it in vise with rag, bend the free leg with a pipe incrementally, repeat for other leg. Not sure id try this with the adjustable version?
Could I switch my 17 headrests with the 22 if it ever gets scheduled. Seems like my dealer would not care and the buyer of my 17 would not know. Both are black leather Lariat.
