Is it a unicorn?

I went and picked up some better looking doors for my project and got a styleside bed repair panel in the deal. I have not seen one of those floating around anywhere.

I'm not familiar with such a thing. Is it factory or aftermarket? Is it unique to the truck or just a stamping of the corrugated bed floor?

That's a partial box side panel for rust repair. I remember Mill Auto Supply selling something like that "back in the day." You could not buy an entire bed side but you could make one up from one front and one rear panel. In the 80's, they were the only supplier to make any repair panels for our trucks. I don't know if they are even in business today. Back then, I was still able to buy some parts N.O.S. but the rest came from there or were made by me.

Never heard of them Lou. Looks like they are still going! 1960 Ford F100 Pickup Truck Repair Parts | Mill Supply, Inc.

IIRC, they were primarily a body shop supply. In the late 70's/early 80's when I was rebuilding my truck there were very few sources of parts: N.O.S. through vendors or dealers and used (most of which was rustier than what I had). Mill Supply was the only one I'm aware of who made replacement panels. Some were designed to only cover the rusted panel and required a lot of rework to fit correctly. At the time, it was the only place you could get cab corners.

I was fortunate in that I had a great connection with a local Ford dealer (I worked there as a tech, became a wholesale customer when I opened my shop). The Parts Manager there sought out lots of parts for me. IIRC, some even came from Venezuela or Brazil where Ford was still making that body style. I missed out on the very last N.O.S. complete bed because I just couldn't come up with the money at the time. I think it was about $600 mid 70's dollars.
