How much can this van tow?
I have an old ATT Fleet van that had 55kmiles on it
2011 E350
Super Duty
AdvanceTrac RSC (now sure what this is yet)
5.7L
Its a Natural Gas (apparently ATT ordered a few thousand of these in 2010/2011)
GVWR: 9,500lbs
Front: 4050lbs
REAR GAWR: 6084lb
Axle Info:
34 (don't know what this is either)
R: 7
Axle: 34
TR: Q
SPR: RR33 ULC
BE414: E05
I don't know much about axle ratio etc... I took a picture of my stickers and I am hoping someone can take that info and tell me how much I can tow with this van. I use it for work. My trailers weigh 2k lbs empty. The heaviest items that we move are safes and pianos. I just don't know when to cut off the weight. Safes can weigh 300lbs-5000lbs, very huge gap.
Axle 34 = 3.73 ratio
Looks like 7,400 or 7,200, depending on if it is extended or not.

Thank you. That is all I needed to know!
The 7K+ spec requires a weight distributing hitch and optimal conditions. For a dead weight hitch, the limit is 5K lbs.
Also note the 13K lbs. GCWR. This means the 7K+ Max trailer weight spec is not absolute should be reduced as more people and stuff are loaded into the van.
Finally, note the specs above are for favorable sea level operating conditions. Figure on reducing GCWR by 2% for every 1K feet in elevation above sea level. This is particularly relevant for normally aspirated engines like the 5.4 gas V8.
As always, I recommend a thorough and careful read of the Tow Guide (and all of its “ifs”, “ands”, or “buts”) to avoid being seduced by the optimistic max tow ratings.
HTH,
Jim / crewzer
