fuel pump
Does anyone know where to buy a fuel pump for my 54 ford f100 239 ohv. Had nos pump I put on and now I believe I may be getting a little gas in oil. I know the pump I put on was nos and was not set up to run on todays fuel so looking for new current one made. Reason I think maybe gas in oil is it will continue to have white smoke when I start and leave running.

White smoke is usually associated with burning coolant. Blue smoke is associated with burning oil (but not generally because a little gas leaked into the crank case from the fuel pump).
As to your question about what fuel pump you need, it is an Airtex 4070. This was a one year only thing for 54 and the 239. It has a long straight shaft, not the shorter with bend that the other Y blocks have. I don't know if changing your timing cover and whatnot would allow for use of other Y block pumps with the shorter arm.

There may be some recommendations from others on who could potentially rebuild your single year one hit wonder of a pump.

In another thread, Dennis (Pinto Plumber), said the early 54 yblocks, built in Dearborn, have a different fuel pump than the later yblocks built in Cleveland.
Anyhow, I have bought fuel pumps for my 54 Cleveland at NAPA.
