Ignition Control Module was acting up, occasional stalling ending up into a full blown no-crank.
Replaced it with this one from Amazon....
Premier Gear PG-FM533 Professional Grade New Ignition Control Module
Fired right up, but currently have it hanging by a zip tie off of another wiring harness. What tool or fix are you using to get to the screws attaching module to heat sink? I know that an actual tool exists, but I would hate to have to buy it.
If your not using motorcraft, I wouldn't order it from anywhere, it will more than likely, be wrong year, or not work straight out of box, go to a chain parts store and get one, at least if it dont work, your truck wont be down a week waiting on another wrong/bad part. Your 95 uses the Motorcraft DY-1077, even the chain parts store will give you the wrong one if you dont ask for correct part, usually saying a 95 Mustang GT 5.0L will get you the correct part.

1. I just drilled the small screws out and replaced with longer screws and washers. It was going to get ridiculous, otherwise.
2. A little quick history, relevant to the ICM. I purchased the truck in late June. Mileage unknown, but very clean. Very clean. It has aged a bit, but aged well, and nothing is out of order. A rear main seal and transmission mount were replaced just prior to my purchase, as well as a fuel pump on the rear tank. I replaced a fan control resistor, wiper switch stalk, and steering tube bushings. But, mechanically, it has had no real issues at all. I drove it 1200 odd miles (Homestead, Florida to outside of Houston, Texas) in about 24 hours or so, first rattle out of the box. It had no mechanical issues on that trip. A few weeks later I drove from north of Houston to Austin, and pulled a car back on a trailer, again with no issues. So, in a minute, this point will become relevant.
A few weeks ago it stalled out on me and restarted, did that a few more times, and then wouldn't start at all. The failed ICM that was in the truck was a grey one. I did note in my research that there was a grey and a black ICM with different applications, but as the grey one was was what in already, a grey one was ordered and put in. I have now ordered a black one, and will install that one and see if there is a noted change in performance, and report back. I will likely keep the black one, in any case, but the grey one works. But, I might missing out on something, performance or gas consumption related, I am just not aware of at this time. I will come back to this post and detail any results at that time.
Make sure you use real heat sink compound on the back of the ICM. While dielectric grease will work, same for peanut butter, it is not designed to conduct heat efficiently.
