Inverter problems

I was using the generator yesterday with a single 3/8 drill, turning screws into wood. Of course I have a cordless drill but the dislike of DeWalt tools and their poor battery will be addressed in a different forum. My power cut off and I had to return to the truck to restart. Hit the buttons, device connected, then back to work. Later, the power went out again. The console told me I had an excessive voltage issue. I shut down the truck and restarted it but the truck came back on in low power mode. All manner of functions quit working and I had to have the truck towed to the dealer. Service just told me that they only had to reset the truck and all should be OK. They had no idea of what prompted the problem and told me that I would have to drive the truck a couple hundred miles to really see if the problem returned. Meanwhile, I understood the truck electrical system and the inverter system were separate and that if a problem came about with the inverter, it would not impact the drivability of the truck, but it did.

Has anyone else run into this problem?
