The running board lights and interior lights on her Ex won't go off on their own. The dash shows a door is open but everything looks and feels closed. Any ideas about shutting them off? I am considering just yanking the fuse until the weekend. She needs it in the morning so the batteries can't die tonight.
You can try spraying WD 40 into the locking mechanism and opening and closing them a few times. Remember that there are two mechanisms on the rear hatch glass about 1/2 way up If that doesn’t work then you could start checking and changing the actuators. Good luck!!!

I did this on my ‘97 Expedition 8-10 years ago. The third door I treated was the culprit.
We bought it about two months ago so I really don't know if it happened before. It did it twice with us for a very short time but never lasted very long.
Mine does this if it is low on fuel and the A/C is on at the same time, but only once in a while.
Be driving down the road, and the low fuel light comes on, suddenly it says a Door is open, and the interior and step lights all come on. Get Gas and it goes away, or turn off the A/C and it goes away, but since arizona cant leave the A/C off, so the solution for me was get gas if the light comes on, or don't let it run low enough the light comes on.
Weird as heck, but i assume there is a crossed or common circuit between the A/C, Low fuel light, and something else. If it happens, getting gas makes it go away, and so does turning off the A/C. But it only occurs rarely, not every-time the low fuel light comes on with the A/C on.
