i was wonderin if ne one has ever tried that additive that u add into ur oil thats supposed to help restore compression. i only have 20# of compression in 2 of my cylinders and i figured itd wouldnt hurt to try that b4 i replace the heads or somthin else. ne comments on this stuff and if its even worth tryin would be greatly appreciated.
So you squirted oil into the cylinders in question and the compression came back up? if the compression was still down after the wet test then it is not rings and no additive will do anything, byt as ctfuzzy said no additive will fix a 20lb cylinder. if the wet test indicated the same compression problem then you can probably get away with a head overhaul.
yea next thing im checkin is maybe a stuck valve (i hope), start with the things that arent so expensive b4 i overhaul the heads...im a little tight on money.
lol thanks ct. yea ur prob right that im startin to get into wishfull thinkin. but ive learned the hard way to start simple then work ur way up. id be really mad at myself if i spent all that money (money that i dont really have) to replace the heads and what not and i find out later that w.e is causin the prob i coulda fixed for alot cheaper lol
