Ok so my 2003 f150 xlt 4x4 has no power to the fuse under the dash fuse numbers are 16 18 20 21 cluster is dead windows don't work truck won't start but I can turn my dimmer switch all the way up to get my dome light on and the the cluster will work and truck will start can drive but speedo says 30 mph running 80 low range light stays on air bag light stays on and still no power to fuses scanner will not communicate with odb2 with dimmer switch off but with it on and just get codes back for the systems with out power
No everything was dry sunny and hot out side I was told they maybe a bad ground but checked all of them and the fuse box under the hood all has power and working think it's a short but can't find a diagram for the wiring
Yeah the grounds are good and took it to the local ford place and show a tech what it's was doing he suggested the gem module but check the power supply lines first going in to the fuse box before I replace the gem
CJB Fuse 20 and 21 are "Hot in Start" position getting power from BJB Fuse 111-40amp.
BJB Fuse 3-30amp feeds through a splice to multi-function switch "Flash to Pass" then to CJB Fuse 16-20amp to Hi Beam Indicator and both Headlights. Grounds are right front kick panel and left and right front engine compartment.
BJB Fuse 6-15amp feeds main light switch (park and headlight position) to exterior light system and fuse 18-5amp CJB to main light switch microprocessor to inst cluster illumination to right kick panel ground.
Hmmm, must be those queer electrons that always blow fues.
After this post, I know someone will not get the old electric joke that was taught in mechanics school.
On a side note: if this pissed anyone off then so be it as I am old enough to not care.
