Old guy new game

I need help guys I have a 78 Ford Ranger XLT with the AC on in the fan on high and run about 10 minutes and fan goes off let it cool down and it will come back on ,I replaced a fuse ( little black box)in it with a 35 amp fuse ,heat and vent it works fine but soon as I turn on the ac it blows fuse I’ve read there is a capacitor in line with fan motors which I can’t find , and the parts house doesn’t list one

inspect the wiring on the fan switch, they get hot and don't make good connection.

are you saying there is an additional in-line fuse besides the fuse in the factory fuse block? someone could have added on.

you will need to check the AC clutch solenoid to make sure it isn't shorted. If that isn't it, inspect the wiring from the AC control panel to the evap thermostat and out to the AC clutch solenoid...including the wiring that goes to the carburetor emissions solenoid (if so equipped) to make sure it isn't shorted.

Do you have factory installed A/C or dealer installed A/C ?
