i am pretty sure they would hold up, more worried if the truck will hold up to the tires. wish i could fit/run those tires!

Well, to be honest with you, you may have to run above five or six PSI ~at all times~ to support a truck that heavy on 49" swampers.

its not the weight per say but the terrain. i wheel in lots of stumps and other sidewall killers. due to the weight of the truck when i slide into a rut i usually pop the sidewall on lower thickness carcass'. my bfg's only lived about 20 000 miles coming second only my michelin xml"s

i think the better question would be how will your axles hold up to the tires..... unless your already running 2.5 tons

I dont think the BFG's hold a candle to the swampers. I used to do Rock crawling competitions with my Jeep... I saw many sets of BFG tires get wasted on jaged edged rocks, then a swaper come through without a scratch. Are you running bead locks?
The rig sounds like its gona be KILLER! I second the pics

i'm not sure if i eally need beadlocks. i'm lookin too save as much cash as i can cause this swap is killin me. the axles i bartered for and i stole the steering off a trashed zoom boom. i built the guy the waterpump with the zoom boom engine and got the steering gear for free. i'm running little mich's right now but can only one set of tires for a while so what i pick HAS to work for a while

The 49" Swamper Iroks will handle 8000 lbs. just fine. Heres a link the the spec page on Interco's website. http://www.intercotire.com/html/irok.htm They are rated for 3640 lbs. each.

I have two questions regarding your bead popping problem.
1. What pressure are you running when they get popped off?
2. What wheel diameter are you running? If you are on 16.5" wheels, that explains your bead issue.

OK, I understand now. About the best two choices I know of then would be some 44" TSL/SXs or some Michelin XMLs like you mentioned earlier. The TSL/SXs are supposed to be near bullit proof but I don't know if a 44" is big enough for you.

IMO, the jury is still out on the sidwall strength of the IROKS. There has been some good feedback over on pirate4x4 so far but I think it's still too early to give them a reputation one way or the other.
