Put a set of these on my last superduty loved everything about them except how much weight it took to balance them..that being said you guys like anything else better that look as good as the K02?
NOPE. I'm a big fan of KO2s. some of them can take a good bit more of weight to balance than others (depending on manufacturing for each tire). That being said, Nittos were my next choice and Nitto/Toyo are notorious for needing more weight than BFGs and being heavier overall.
Nope, have run several sets, ko2 are very good tires. Couldn’t get them for my 2021 platinum so ended up with Goodyear endurance, half worn out with 20k on them
I like the BFG AT's, nothing wrong with them really. For an all around tire that might see a little of everything, it's a decent choice. Personally though nothing really beats the all around versatility of the Toyo MT. I like to run a dedicated set of winter tires, but if I didn't the KO2 would get the nod. Have a set of 37/13.5r18 KM3's on my F-350 right now, not a bad tire. Don't think they are going to last/wear like a Toyo MT, but they seem to be a good tire nonetheless.
Used these tires for years but got away from them when my last set could never be balanced. I also hated how they would grab and throw rocks for miles after getting back on pavement.
Ko2's are excellent all around tires. Their biggest competition right now might be the General Grabber ATX which is very much a KO2 clone for a little less money. Still winter rated and highly rated in reviews. I am running Firestone Destination XT's currently. A little more aggressive than the KO2, winter rated and they have served me well, also about $20/tire under the BFG's.
They all pretty much throw rocks when they are new unless the tread isn't very aggressive. That seems to go away with a little wear. My wifes Jeep has KO2's and it will chuck gravel right though an open window. The XT's still pick up some rocks after a year and 20k miles but much less now.
I am going to try and get GoodYear Duratracs on the new truck if they are off backorder by then. They are probably my favorite in winter, which is mainly when I need extra traction.
I have 56k miles on KO2's on my Jeep with another 15k or so being towed behind my class C RV. Tires still have good tread on them. Can't seem to wear them out. Will most likely be the tire I go with on my F250. Unless I go up a size in which BFG doesn't offer them. Will then go with Toyo AT3 in 34.8". Still deciding though.
Between the Firestone Destination XT's I have now, Goodyear Duratracs, Goodyear Silent Armor, BFG KO's, Firestone Destination AT, the best all around tire for me were the BGF KO2's. They were the quietest and longest lasting, and I never had any balancing issues. These were all on F150's.
I also have KM3's but they're for my offroader, but they seem like a good tire as well so far, but not sure I'd want them for street duty.
I've never been much of a Goodyear fan in the past, but I have a set of Duratracs on my f250 now and have really liked them. I live on gravel which eats tires and these have held up well.
