P2272 DTC

2005 E-350 with 5.4 gas motor, have had a recurring issue with code P2272 which is stuck lean oxygen sensor, Bank 2 Sensor 2 (downstream). I'll be replacing it soon, will most likely do all four since I'm already in there. LTFT bank 2 seems to drift negative a bit, voltage hovering about 3.5 or so. That's the easy part.

I NEVER buy anything from RockAuto, almost always Motorcraft even if it comes from the dealer but RA's catalog shows only the upstream parts (MC# DY1042) but I'm not having much luck even with a Google search finding the p/n for the downstream parts---who's a good source?

Also are they any truly fully compatible O2 sensors for Ford's 5.4 motors? Whose had repeated good results with other brands? (Cost isn't an issue---don't want anything cheap but problematic).

TIA !

Bosch is OE 02 sensors for your Ford, Upstream Bosch is 18124, downstream is 15717.

You can spend double your money on a MC 02 sensor, but Bosch is the original 02.

Absolutely nothing wrong with RockAuto.

Thanks for the info---and I greatly disagree with RockAuto---I buy locally when possible to save the BS they've started putting customers through.

Thanks again---on the hunt for Bosch!
