2003 Ford F250 SD Pickup. Headlight removal issue.. After all the trim is removed, you are left with 4 screws around a chrome trim ring, which holds the lights in. Well, for the life of me, I cannot remove these 8 screws. I have soaked them in penetrating oil, overnight, used a hammer to tap them and maybe break the rust free, pretty much everything except Heat. I was going to take a torch to them today, but figured i would ask here first.
Does anyone know what I can do to remove these screws? It was supposed to be a simple bulb replacement! I can get enough torque to turn them by hand without slipping out of the screw, but they simply will not come free! I could see one or two, but all eight (four each side)?!
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.
Exactly what I did Djosbun! I used a propane torch and a good fit screwdriver, and they finally came out! I've NEVER seen screws soo tight a fit or that stubborn. They complained the whhole way out too, squeaking and grinding, but I got them.
