Good morning crew (Somewhat). Somewhat because I always keep a little extra ice in the freezer in the RV. Went to get some yesterday afternoon and all I had was a puddle of water in the bottom of the freezer section! Yup, fridge not working (It is level). Turn switch off for a bit, turn it back on, the green LED stays on for a few seconds, then blinks rapidly 5 times, then steady for a few seconds, blinks 5 times, rinse-repeat. As far as I can dig, this indicates the circuit bosrd. Does anyone know how to test this for sure?
RV is parked in its stalll here at home.
Make sure there is no yellow powder or residue on or near the cooling unit or any smell of ammonia. If either exist, your cooling unit has leaked ammonia and needs to be replaced.
I think so. What I see the cooling unit is the majority of the cost of a fridge. But this one has made a pretty good run; 8 years old and has only been shut off once except for defosting.
that is a good run. I have run mine a lot but never for than a few months at a time. Altough this past summer it was working pretty hard out at my sisters place in Salome.
Desert Don I'm probably to late, But they make replacement cooling units for these ..
They are a one piece replacment may save some money ??
Good Luck with it Steve ..

Yup………late to the party. My model of fridge is one they discontinued (imagine that), so with a little research I found a brand new direct replacement cooling unit for my model. Replaced that, all is good now again.
I guess I should have updated my thread here so that everyone would know the issue was solved. Old guy forgot he had started this thred! LOL
Bought it from www.rvcoolingunitwarehouse.com The hype is that they are better than the Norcold unit and use better materials. Made in USA by the Amish. IDK. Seems heavier built. Time will tell.
Thanks for all the responses.
