Howdy folks,
Rusty here. I own a '07 F150 , 5.4, automatic.
My stock muffler finally gave up and I'd like to replace it with🤔🤔 perhaps a Magnaflow. All I need is the muffler and a new tail pipe, sadly I no longer am able to do such work as my back & neck are toast.
I picked up a Magnaflow at Punk Boys and dropped the truck off at my garage.
Of course he can't do the job...pipe bending and such. So....
I love the sound of exhaust blowing through a MF, but facing facts, I now believe I'll have to take her to a Midas or something or other. Do those shops have a Kool sounding piece ?
Any recommendations guys, im retired & disabled so money IS an object. Thanks

I used Magnaflow mufflers for years on many different vehicles. Then I tried a Borla. WOW what a difference. Both in sound and price.
What are you looking for exactly? What = Kool to you?
I used to use a Midas muffler shop when I lived in a city, but up here it's small locally owned muffler shops, I'm surprised at the number that have the bending stuff, even if not their specialty. My '07 has a kit exhaust from muffler back, all stainless ... but my '77 has a local shop bent system using old school Turbo Mufflers, I love them. You can get them in stainless as well as pipes, but my '77 get's along great with alumanized steel, and the pipes last ten or more years. My '07 had such a system from when new up until 2015 when I replaced it due to a muffler rotting issue. Ask around, starting with your favorite shop. Might also pay to ask for referrals at NAPA or the Pep Boys or Advance, etc. They know where they send parts.
