97HC 224359 KC (firewall and glove box door tag) Stamping on cowl is 2 KC 12 G 350.
I know it is an F1 with 6 cylinder made in Kansas City. I just dont know with sequence number if it is a 49 or 50. As for the cowl stamp I think it is (2) Vermillion red produced July 12 (12 G) in Kansas City (KC). probably number 350 produced. Any help to verify this would be greatly appreciated. I am new here on the s
ite as well as new to F1 trucks. Thanks in advance for help.
Welcome to the Forum! With a unit number in the 220,000's, it would be a 49 model year, and your build date of July 12, 1949 would be correct. Most everything else you seem to have correct also. The 350 on the firewall stamping is not a production number. It's the rotation number, an internal tracking number used in the factory. It has no other correlation to the truck.
thank you. I was not sure of the cut of of the production sequence number from 49 to 50.
We've been tracking numbers to find the cut off for years. It depends on the plant, but typically it's around the 280-300,000 mark. Thanks for sharing yours!
