P163F code

Read the 3 threads I found on this site but the question I have is does /will Ford fix it even if it's out of warranty period. I just cleared the code gonna see if it comes back but it had me stuck in 3rd gear. I was 3 blocks away from my shop so limped it back over.
Anyone able to help. 2017 F250 6.2.

What was the outcome of your issue? My 2017 F250 6.2 threw this code on me today and I limped it back home. I cleared the code and drove it a mile a few hours later and it didn’t reoccur…yet.
