I have a 79 F250 that had some aluminum 16's. The nut tightened all the way down to the point of having the stud come out the open end. I recently replaced the wheels with 95 F250 aluminum wheels. I bought acorn nuts to be able to tighten the wheel. But now the stud doesnt come out the nut. It tightens about half way down the nut. My question is, how much of the nut should tighten on the stud? Do i need to install longer studs or is half the nut ok?
