Wagons Ho!

Earlier this spring I had a custom hitch welded/bolted to the rear of the camper to pull my small fishing boat with me. Ran the 4 pin from the junction box underneath the camper to the rear enclosed in wire loom. Here's a couple of pics. The Yakry rear view camera does a excellent job so I can see the boat behind the trailer. Total lenght 67ft. So far so good after 3 trips.

I won't leave home without my little bass boat but it goes in the bed and weights slightly over 100 lbs with trolling motor.
Have you ever had to back up ?

This pic is before I got the F250.

@TCNashville, rig looks good. I've thought of doing something like that with my ATV trailer so I have it with me to transport the side-by-side to areas that I can't just drive the side-by-side to.

Not legal in the not-so-great state of Ca. Now if you had a 5'r and a Class A (Commercial truck driver license) you could.

No not really. When I get to the campground I just unhitch the boat and get it out of the way. I have tried to backup just to see what would happen and made it about 20' before things started to go awry.

You got some big Cajones to double tow, especially not being able to see your boat LOL.

Texas limits RVs with a trailer (or combo) to 65 ft:

The limit can be extended to 75 feet if you remove pickup bed and register tow vehicle as a tractor (as in tractor-trailer) instead of pickup.

If I remember right, this limit is derived from federal law (as is common).

I installed a Yakry rear view camera [not shown in the pics] and can watch the boat behind the camper from the truck cab. Although this is a Chinese made product, the quality seems to be there and at 46' between the camera and the cab, I get a real time crystal clear picture with no booster. I tapped into the top rear center marker light for power so the running lights have to be on for it to function but I have no issue with that. I chose that particular camera from a recommendation of another member of this Forum.
