A few years ago, the interior of my 2002 X got very hot and the rear view mirror glass "delaminated" such that the bright light dimming fluid is now randomly pooling and migrating around the lens. I've tried to look for a factory Ford replacement in kind and it looks like that mirror is no longer available. Any recommendations on where to find one? Would it be better to opt for a newer mirror with things like compass and/or backup camera screen?
As far as I can tell, the Freestyle mirrors do not have the auto-dimming feature. It looks like even the part number for that mirror is difficult to find. Anyone have the part number for the mirror with auto-dim?

The one out of the freestyle I got is auto dimming. I want to say it was a 2007
I have found that the mirror was manufactured by Donnelly and their part number is 011530. Those mirrors are readily available used on eBay, but for an Acura and it appears that the mount/support arm is different. Is it possible/advisable to simply pop the mirror off of the ball attached to the Acura arm and reattach it to the Ford arm on my windshield?
I found a similar mirror from a Mercury Mountaineer, but it appears that the harness connection is different. The current mirror connection is right at the ball joint. The Mercury mirror is off to the side.
Does anyone know if the actual harness connector is the same, even though it has a different location?
