Its pretty good if you have a 5th wheel or goosneck. I also like it to keep track of the bed contents but I hate that it turns off when your driving with speed. It be nice if it could be on whenever you want and at any speed.

Can you see beyond the bed contents?
If you're backing up, does it show what is behind the truck?

Yes, For example in mine you can see our TRAVEL TRailer and the sides of it. So it extends like a foot or 2 beyond the sides etc. I can try to get a pic for you .

excuse the mess. But you can see how much you see in camera. The lighting is off because truck is in garage and it’s sunny out. Also, it looks much clearer in person.
If you're getting a Lariat or higher with the 12" screen, the pics I've seen of the bed camera views are super good.
And, someone, don't recall who or where, had posted a pic of the camera view at speed, like the SYNC4 big screen allows you to see it when travelling.
Going to be really helpful when I'm hooking a 5th wheel.
RubenZ, Thanks for the photo.
I ordered the XLT, and will have the 8" screen.
And thanks for the other replies.
Phil
I just cancelled the UTT package on my XLT that I ordered 5/24. They are not currently scheduling any XLT with the UTT package, and from what I understand it’s because they are holding the cameras back for the higher trim trucks. I hated removing the package because I wanted the 360 cameras, and part of this package is the CHMSL camera… so I didn’t want to take any chances and didn’t even include the CHMSL camera… I don’t know if it will make a difference, but I’m back to just the standard rear camera… oh well… hopefully this will finally get my truck scheduled!

I hoping the CHMSL camera, although used in conjunction with the UTT package, is a separate item that will not impact my order. I did NOT order the UTT package.
With my shortbed and trifold cover it was so so backing up to a gooseneck. Most of the view was blocked by the last fold.
The Ford cameras are also sensitive to lighting changes. Backing into my warehouse (halfway in with the truck) to hook up a trailer and the lighting changes inside to out confused the camera as it was pretty useless for that.
My truck didn’t come with it but I added it and really like it. I can see above my trailer roof to see if I’m clearing trees or if there is loose cargo.

The 2021's allow using the CHMSL camera and the Customer Mounted Trailer Camera while in motion. The only caveat is that when you come to a stop and start moving again, it resets to the infotainment screen.
If you want to use the trailer backup camera you get the wiring harness and input on your screen with CHMSL camera also.
I've heard of this, but where is the plug to do so? I hear that having the CHSML camera option gives you the ability to plug in the trailer camera. But where?
