Odometer Compatibilty
Does anybody know if the bumpside odometers work in a 66?
When I bought my truck, the odometer was stuck, the plastic bits falling apart. I pulled the plastic out
and the speedometer worked fine so I just left it that way. Now I want to replace it, but all I see are the
complete speedometer clusters for sale and they have gotten pretty darned expensive lately.
But the odometer in the newer models looks similar; it attaches with two vertical screws just like the 66,
and those speedometer heads are a lot cheaper.
Anyone know if it would fit in the 66 housing? Or maybe someone has a 66 odometer for sale at a
reasonable price? It's the sweep speedometer, if that makes any difference.
