Tranny line ID

Hi All...

I did a search but couldn't find anything on this.

I have a 99 F-250 V-10 Auto Any easy way to tel whick line is the output to the cooler and which is the return line. I know I can start it up and see whick one pumps, but I thought it might be easier to ask first. Putting in a large cooler for plowing....

Thanks!

I believe that it goes to the radiator, then the external cooler, then back to the tranny.
Here is how I figured it out by the instructions in my cooler.
With the engine and tranny cold.
Start the engine and put it in drive for about 30 seconds.
Put it back in park and shut it off.
Go under the hood and feel both tranny lines. One should be warmer than the other. Th warmer one is the one coming from the tranny to the coolers.

The line out of the trans is the front one, nearest the torque converter. Return from the cooler goes to the rear of the trans housing for rear lube.
