When the truck is stationary and idling for long periods of time (3-12hrs) I lose the function of the windshield washer sprayer.
The wipers will come on and I can hear a noise from the pump but no spray. I tried putting in in drive but same thing. Once I drive for a min and try it works no problem.
Since I can hear the pump it must be going somewhere. When I have a chance I will have someone else push the button while I look under the hood.

Anyone else seen this with their truck?
Yes. My pump is also spraying only 8 inches now when it works.
I'm suprised at the 3-12 hours of idle..Yikes! I do about 4-5 hours of idle a day on my GMC 5.3L for A/C purposes. My truck seems ok with 305K miles on her

Been doing the lots of idle time for about 12 years now over 4 different trucks, I change my oil every 200-250hrs and have never had a engine related problem, some of the trucks have 8-10k hours on them when I sell them.
People say idling for long periods is bad for the motor..?? I'm guessing that's old school wisdom. frequent oil changes are the key add some injector cleaner now and then has been working for me.
