throttle body

have a 1994 f150 5.8 litre engine -- - i think one of the previous owners may have turned the throttle plate stop screw to compensate for an idle problem as the throttle plates seem to be open too much -- so would anyone know what the correct position of the throttle plate stop screw should be as set from the factory on the throttle body -- just want to get back to the factory setting to try and eliminate an off idle stumble and erratic idle ,,,,,, thanks in advance

I would follow the BBK instructions starting at step 7.

All you need to do is prevent the throttle blades from fully closing and getting stuck in the bores, the voltage at the TPS should be in the range of 0.6-0.99v when that is done.

I heard to disconnect iac and adjust stop screw until the engine just barely runs. That way you're not stranded if the iac fails, but the iac an control idle if it's working.
