Has any one ever installed one of these on a truck? I have no spark and cant seem to figure out which wire is the 12v power source for the box. this thing is driving me crazy
If so MSD Part 8874 is the plug and play way to do it. Google it, and the instructions will come up with wire colours, if you want to try and do it on your own.
funny you said that I tested the old motorcraft coil and it has a spark. I do need a new distributor though im ecstatic over this revelation that MSD stuff isnt the same
I have the Edelbrock 3881 intake manifold on my Bronco. The coil mounts in the same place as it did with the factory manifold: on the bracket that mounts over the left valve cover.
Are you in a roundabout way saying that you removed the EFI system? It would help if we knew what you are working on…
I have a spark, Timing is correct, the fan is turning over meaning the starter is working, im manually throwing gas into the carb, New coil, new ignition mod.
Im think a fuel pump issue but with the gas in the carb it should just roll over..
