Nice job it took me a lot longer. I wish I would have used your method!

Perry, I really don't think I could have taken the front end apart piece by piece. At my age, I'm just not as flexible as I was once upon a time. Nor do I have as much stamina.
However, one collects tools over the course of one's life, and some go years without being used. As such with the cuttin' torch, among other things.

At least now, all the bolts for the fenders are accessible. A pair of vice grips on the nut (The clip nut that now spins free of its clip) and an impact on the bolts. Made short work of removing the fenders. Once the inner panels are free of the core support, it's off to tackle some more rusty bolts.

Yay. I can't wait (insert sarcastic tone here)

Mike,
I am in need of removing a front clip.
I know this thread is nearing a year old, but, it has helped me already, reading the responses suggesting drilling.
Dang. A '64 popped up in our local P-n-Pull yard and I resisted the urge to attempt removal because of not having removed one in the past, and figuring I'd get 80% of the fasteners removed, and have to walk away.

If you or any experienced member would please add any helpful removal "links" you had Bookmarked which you feel us dummies could benefit from would be terrific.
I tried an advanced search for "fender removal" and mostly had no luck. I did find a YouTube link, but the guy had already removed the 3-per-side rear bolts, and one front, and just lifted off the front clip.

Never having attempted this, I am not certain where I am supposed to be looking for the 3-rear bolts. One of them needing the longer drill bit you mentioned.

Thanks guys

If you are able to take someone with you to lift it off, here are the bolt locations. Also take the bumper off first if it is still in place.... Hope it helps.

Berc Merc pointed out all the bolt locations. The ones inside the cab are behind a little access panel just forward of the doors. By far, for me, those were the toughest because they were rusted and use a stamped "J-Nut," which are notorious for breaking. I had to drill one out. Fortunately, the bolt drilled easily. All you need to do is get the bolt head off.
But then. the core support and under the fender bolts were also rusted solid. I torched 'em off. Carefully.

I used a cherry picker to lift mine off since I'm a one man band. When I ask friends for help (most around my age), "I can't, my back is acting up," or "Wifey has me doing Honey-Do's today."

So, first, soak all the fasteners with PB blaster penetrating oil, letting it sit for a day or two. Go gently at first, working the bolt back and forth. If you're lucky, it'll work free.

There's also a video earlier in this thread.

Good luck and have fun with it!

Thank you for the photo with red circles !

Here it is Sept 22, 2022, and I haven't attempted the drilling of those pesky upper rear bolts.
I am a bit hesitant to loosen them and will attempt drilling as a first measure (from looking at how rusted the other fasteners are).

of course being Ford bitten, i have a '61, '62 and a '66 waiting for attention.
Current Ford project is a refurb of a '78 E250 trekker van, so the early '60's keep rusting happily.
