Clutch pivot

Clutch pivot
82 F350 c/c 351W T18. Couple questions. Can the clutch pivot be removed without pulling the transmission/engine. Is it normal for the clutch to be quite firm to push? Works great, but it sure gives my left leg a good workout. I want to disassemble the linkage and grease it up and replace the bellhousing boot.

Should be able to remove it.
On the frame side it is held in place with 2 nuts & bolts.
If undo them remove that pivot you then should be able to remove the cross shaft / z bar..
There should be plastic bushings at each end with felt seals and think rubber seals be a long time since I played with the linkage.
The old linkage type clutches were kind of hard to push and more some if you had a HD pressure plate..
I don't think my 81 is all that hard to push.
