I have a 89 Full-Size Bronco and i was wondering if i could put a front cap from a 92-96 ford f150 or Bronco it really dont matter they both the same. i was just wondering if the fenders and lights and grill and such bolt up the same or not? someone please respond and tell me please. if they wont work will like the front cap of the olders ones work like say a 85? thanks
80 - 96 sheetmetal should interchange, just the rear wheel wells may not matchup. I think there are two styles 80-86 and 87-96 for the wheel wells. I think that to swap clips you'll need to get the radiator core support too, but I'm not sure.
there are 3 styles 80-86, 87-91, 92-96.. i am wanting ot put the 92-96 front clip on it. just want to know if it will work i thought it would cause the body lines look the same. whatever i do if i can switch them out i will just find me a wrecked truck that the front clip is still good on. well thanks man. appreciate your help
When I mentioned the two styles I was just refering to the wheel wells on the quarter pannels. I think on the rear quarter pannels the 87-91 wheel wells and the the 92-96 wheel wells are the same.
If you had say an 83, and swapped the front clip then the wheel wells would look different. All the other body lines will line up.
The tops are made of fiberglass. Find a person that knows how to paint it and you should be fine. Look for corvette bodyshops or marine painters (boats are fiberglass too). Make sure they use some kind of flex additive because the tops do flex a little.
i used to have 89 mustang gt that he worked on. my brother has a 91 lx mustang with gt ground effects. he molded in back spoiler, shaved third brake light, and molded body lines out of ground effects
