Tonneau Cover
I ordered the Ford hard folding tonneau and really hope it’s a Bak because I want the Bakbox but am not sure what I will get….
Also as far as the CCC sticker mentioned above, I assume you are talking about the sticker in the door with the payload. I’ve asked this before and the general consensus is that aftermarket parts aren’t included since these are sent offsite for installation. I also have a console safe in mine, but I don’t expect the sticker to reflect the safe or the tonneau. Regardless, my first stop will be to top off fuel, then to the scales.
As for REV not being BAK. That is most likely an honest statement. If you google Truck Hero you'll find about 20 brands as subsidiaries. BAK, RETRAX, TRUXEDO, to name a few. They basically own the whole market which is why literally every seller will have the same bottom price. Check Auto Anything, Real Truck, e-Trailer, and so on. All the same. Sometimes if you get a rep on the phone they'll give you a special discount, but not much.

When I purchased the truck, the black felt liner under the aluminum was already pealing away from the extruded aluminum and hanging down inside. I stuck it back up a few times, but finally just cut it loose from the ends and took it out.
But two other things that annoyed me were, in the winter when it snows and thaws just a bit, the water will run into the side channels and then re-freeze. This locks up the aluminum rotating release channels and you cannot roll back the tonneau because the tabs are stuck under the release channel. Vary annoying to say the least.
Also before I had to remove the felt from under the aluminum slats, I had it rolled up to access the fifth wheel hitch and while driving, the weight of the rolled up tonneau beat big dents into the side edges of the tonneau rails up front. You have to have the tonneau fully rolled, or all rolled out. I did haul some lumber and just let the tailgate end lay over the lumber and that worked fine.
Personally from my one time experience, I would NOT spend that kind of money on a BAK Revolver tonneau. Mine would be about three years old now. Whoever bought my RAM trade-in has to worry about it now.
I know it's not real snazzy or too fancy, but on my new '21 F-350 8' box I bought a TruXedo TruXport Soft Roll-Up tonneau cover through eTrailer and love the thing. At under $300, it is lockable with the tailgate locked, but could be cut with a knife if one were to be robbed I guess. But it's probably 99% water proof so far and easy to roll up and it's very light weight when bundled up at the window. And a lot lower profile when rolled up at the back window.
I'm sure that with all the great reviews everyone is giving the BAK tonneau, I must have just had the "bad" one. But don't discount the water/snow freezing the tracks up in the winter and then your top is dead to you until it thaws out again. Now just a snow was no issue, when melted and refreezing, that's the issue. I also did not like the way it beat itself all up on the sides when rolled up.
Maybe someone else has had similar to my experience and can offer more information.
Good luck with your new F450, lucky you...
