Tasca website does call out the drivers side hood seal for the 6.7L diesel so there must be a reason it should be installed. I don't think its critical (obviously) but I'm going to install it anyway for sheets and grins.
I agree... I have to buy some parts soon so maybe I'll buy it also. Thanks for posting.
The holes for the clips to hold on the seal are different on the driver side from the seal on the passenger side. I just went out to check to see if I could tell if there was a difference between dirt let in because when I get my truck oiled each year at Carwell Products before winter time, there's dirt and stuff on the top of each battery because they spray the underside of the hood and the cables/batteries. I really don't care because to me, it minimizes the corrosion. I've had zero corrosion issues on either side with batteries, clamps or cables.
Anyways, I really can't tell a difference so I'm electing to not buy the driver's side seal and run my truck the way it is. You guys who buy it, post up pics for schits and giggles please.
Finally received the drivers side hood seal. I ordered it 7/28/21 and received 8/9/21.
The part is a joke. I thought it was going to be made out of heavy duty rubber since the description of the part is "Genuine OEM Ford Side Seal" but it is literally just a foam replica.
I don't see how it will last but installed it anyway.
Is my hood based on geographic location? Seems that since we don't get cold temps, it needs less insolation maybe
Mine was built in Kentucky. It has an engine warmer, plow package and only that passenger side seal. It's goofy for sure.

Being an XL (stx) I've recently learned that it doesn't have as much insulation which might be another reason it seems louder than the rest. Archoil injector cleaner has definitely made it more quite though.
