Cellular Boosters - Installs/Preferences

Good Morning,

Curious if anyone has added a Cell Booster to their super duty. I live in Texas and see lots of different trucks with them. Just wanted to get some feedback from anyone who has used one, install, how well they worked and models tested. Thanks for any input in advance. I am researching for what might end up on a F450 towing a 5er.

-Cheers, Matt

I have a Weboost, but it is directional and is mounted on my RV trailer. Works good. My hunting partner has a Weboost also, but it is omnidirectional and works in his truck. Mounting it on the bed works. There are also mounts to put the antenna on the hood.

I use an older Wilson "Sleek" cradle style that I've had since 2013. 1 for the truck and 1for the 5th wheel. I upgraded the antenna when first getting them from the small stub style to the 12" metal one that had the magnet base but with the new trucks being aluminum and the small wire taking a beating over the years I just upgraded the antenna again to the Wilson Drive OTR Antenna ( https://powerfulsignal.com/wilson-dr...ntenna-311229/ ) where I'm boondocking right now my Verizon signal has been weak to none with the old antenna but since getting the new antenna the signal has been 4g2bar constant which makes this location usable again. Here is how I have it on the trailer, before travel I remove the antenna but leave the base in place.

I haven't put it on the new truck yet because not having a good location for it. I have a cap on the back so that eliminates the mounting back there, I found a base that goes in the hood area but not sure I lkie that. https://www.rightchannelradios.com/c...ood-mount-2017

I would like to put it on the mirror arms but looking at the first pic it wont fit so I'll need to make a clamp style larger to fit on the stem of the mirror.

As far as do they work, I know mine has worked and pulled in a signal in locations that guys have asked how I'm getting a signal for the phone when thier phone is no good. I've traveled all over the United States in some real back country and wouldn't leave home with out it.

I use a Weboost Drive X cell booster with the 12" antennae in my F350. I use a Larson Electronics steel mounting plate for the magnetic antenna mount. The combination works well.works well.
