86 Restoration Help

Hello everyone,
My father in law gifted me a really nice 86 XLT Lariat 4x4. I live in the metro Atlanta area and am looking for a shop that can help me finish restoring it. I have already done a lot of work on the things that I can handle. Brakes, all new exterior light lenses, grill, replaced bumper guards, interior refresh, new carb, etc. I need an honest shop that will listen to my vision for the truck and work with me. Will want a small lift and level, full mechanical review and refresh on drivetrain with minor mods like dual exhausts. Paint is an open question as the truck is in pretty good shape for 35 year old. Would love to get back to like new but at what cost… some other minor issues like only front tank is useable, fuel gauge and radio not working, etc. my desire is one shop, one knowledgeable person to work with and I’ll pay a quality price for quality work. So please

send me your trusted go to shops so I can get this project completed.

May want to check out the GA chapter and ask the same question https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...a-chapter.html
The other thing is hit a few car shows and cruises and ask around who they had work done by.
If you come across 1 person that did all his own work I would be shocked as there are not many of us out there that can have a plate

Sweet truck! It’s the 4wheel drive version of my 2 wheel drive…color and all.

Thank you. I am at the point where I have realized the limit of my ability and want things done right to honor the legacy of this truck. Will check out your suggestion.
