So as u read, I'm a new member, I have a 1995 f150 short bed single tank 4x4 grey 2 door rough riding great tuck! Lol
So this maybe ask before a ton of times and I'm Goin to ask
Is there anything u can take off any any of the 250 ect.... Like is the sway bars bigger, break calipers direct bolt on but bigger or what ever
I may have access to this land and have some old diesels been sitting for 20 years lol and anyone know the part number for the under the hood light and wire, I want to put one on the other side!
Not too much in regard to suspension stuff will bolt on to your f150 since the axles are drastically different. As far as the under the hood light, there was a thread on here about using a GM light (i think from the c/k series? Not sure) that was a significant upgrade over the stock ford one.
Thank u for the reply, true that
In my denali the 06 can use the 07 rakes calipers and rotors for the front, I was just checking to see if Ford did something cool like that
I had an Excursion and I used the 650 lower ip and some other Lil goodies
Thanks again
Your best bet would be to do a complete axle swap to the 8 lug from the f250/350. That WILL work and, for the most part, bolt up. I think going from a coil spring to leaf spring front end may be a bit of screwing around. In the end you'll have a tough as hell truck.
As far as parts interchangeability goes, cabs/beds from 80-96 are "interchangeable" in the sense you want to keep the same body styles together if you can. I can't tell the beds apart, but other members on this site can. Beyond that, under the hood stuff is mostly motor-specific but they use similar stuff where they can, like the starter relays and battery trays, etc. Cosmetic things inside, a lot of the 80-91 things may not work on the 92-96 trucks IE door handles.
