driver side rear wheel
hi i'm having some very strange problems with my driver side rear wheel. when on jack stands both the driver and passenger spin freely but when dropped down the driver side locks and passenger spins freely and not sure what is up. the truck is 01 ford ranger 2.5L, 3:73 gears and a 5 speed manual. thanks steve

Not sure what you mean by locks ??? When on stands sounds like it is working ok. Can you wiggle drivers side when on stands ,,,will it move in and out any ???? Is it a limited slip or positive track rear end ???? Just guessing could be in the spider gear in rear in. Need more info there should be rear end info on tag when you open drivers door.
