door lock won't work

I have a Altman door latch kit installed on my truck. The key for the lock works on the passenger side but not the driver side. Heres the rub last time I tried to lock the door on the driver side the lock worked. Any ideas? And how do I remove the door lock cylinder?
thanks
Jerry

Had same issue. Loosen the bolt that attaches the inner door handle link to the latch. Needs to be just tight enough not to vibrate but have some slack to move freely.

Thanks Indy Beer. I forgot I replaced the inner door latch and arm. I think cranked it down when tightening it. So yours was tightened to tight? I will try. Best to ask and stop and think before tearing stuff up.
Thanks

Since the easy latch doesn't have the provision to lock door from inside by pushing forward on handle, if you tighten up the link too much and the handle is moved forward it jams up the latch lock making it real hard to even unlock it with the key. I had the whole latch in and out several times till I figured out what was wrong. The bolt needs needs to be able to slide freely in the slot of the linkage.

Hi IndyBeer. I took your advise and loosened the bolt that attaches inner door handle arm. I turned it a quarter turn loose and boom lock works. Had to unlock it a few times to satisfy my mind. But everything works. Thanks very much.
Thank you
Jerry
