Forgot to say hello...
I tend to just jump into things - and this forum is no exception.
Back in April I bought the truck I've dreamt about quite literally since I'm 8 years old. A crew cab, long bed diesel 4x4 F350 in Rapid Red. My uncle Jerry brought home a 1991 F350 Crew Cab 4x4 with the IDI diesel (I think it was called Vermilion Red back then) He was a welder and made enough to afford something like that. I've been fascinated by all things electrical/mechanical since I took my dad's Craftsman drill apart when I was 4
My household was %100 Ford. Mom drove a turbo T-bird, and dad drove a 1989 Bronco. When the T-bird blew up (mom overheated it) the Bronco was the family car full-time. We put at least 200k miles on it by the time I inherited it in high school. Eventually I traded it in on a family wagon when we had my son, and I have regretted it ever since!
It's been quite an adventure getting 30 years on down the road, but luck would have it this truck found it's way to my driveway and I have been %100 happy with it ever since. I've had about 6 IDI diesel trucks since my 20's, I absolutely loved them. About 10 years ago I picked up an 1996 powerstroke that I invested all my mechanical tinker-time into. Still have it (although it's badly in need of a rebuild with 380k on the clock)
I've got a lot of value out of reading what everyone posts on here, and hope to add value while I'm here!
Cheers!
