I have a deleted 18’ straight piped from turbo back no block off plates n egr still there.
This noise started several months ago, no tune change or anything different. What happens is this.
When driving n come to a stop for a min or so the exhaust makes a very muffled sound like a valve closes or something, it gets loud in the cab, if your outside sounds like a hissing by the exhaust tip and then slowly goes away. When it first started it didn’t do it that often now it does it every time I’m stopped and idling for longer then a min.
any ideas
not sure don’t know but I really appreciate your response. I’ll rule that out once I remove it completely later this month. Just didn’t know if my turbo was going out or something.
Is your EGR unplugged? There are 3 plugs that need to be disconnected in the engine bay.
I believe they are turned off through the tuner? But I guess I can double check by unplugging them as well. I’ll look thanks for that. I’ll report back. Should be able to look today or Tom am. 👍🏼
