Front hub replacement
I had to replace the font hub on a 2003. When I remove the snap ring off of the axles stub it had a washer a hex shape spacer and then another washer against the hub. When I put the new one on There is not enough space to get that all in and the snap ring in the grove. It looks like I will have a hard time getting one washer on and still get the ring in the groove. What am I doing wrong?

Pry the axle outward between the the flange and the axle tube.

Yep the axle shaft has some float inboard/outboard. Grab the end it with some large pliers and pull it out towards you. Some trucks have axle shafts with threaded hole so you can put in a bolt which is easier to grab.
