Cognitive dissonance has a firm grip on me. Today I sold Pistachio, my ‘56 Effy. I live in a rural and somewhat isolated area in the Cascade mountains of SW Washington and I placed a Craigslist ad for Seattle (about 110 miles away). I was swamped with calls, some as far away as South Carolina. Three parties came to Morton, all with cash in hand and wanting the truck. - Should I have asked a higher price? Perhaps, but all I wanted was a fair and honest deal. I think we both got a deal. I do feel badly for the others who came to buy it, but other deals will emerge.
It would seem that the second picture is your real answer. There was one deal to be made - it was - and while the non winners aren't pleased, they were treated fairly. A good day.
Good job Rob on the .honest and fair! I just retired in June and i.ve been playing with Efiies sine "86. I'm on my 4th one(for 17 years),all redone stock. its too hot here in central florida to go anywhere in it 6 months out of the year (no AC of course) at 50 mph so I'm thinking about letting it go to thin out the herd. I love these old trucks but I've had my fun. your beautiful truck selling so quickly is a good thing for sure for our hobby, congrats! mike red '55,V8
