Looking at a Pypes Performance Exhaust system. Price is just slightly better than the local shop, but this kit is 409 Stainless and mandrel bent, I can't get that local.
I have a new 30yr old FE exhaust pipe set hanging in the rafters in north central North Carolina. Go to Flikr.com and add /15790337@N02/36653285824/in/album-72157687267822933/ to see them
Maybe try flikr.com and add /photos/15790337@N02/albums/72157687267822933 to see more parts available
I see LMC has an exhaust system with aluminized steel whatever that may mean. I never heard any reviews.
It means there is a thin aluminum coating on the outside to slow the rust. They actually fit very well. I modified them to merge into a single 3" pipe because I intended to install an auxiliary gas tank, just never got around to it.
PROSTOCK,
I know this post was from last year but hopefully you see this.
I'm curious which exhaust system you ended up going with and how it performs? I really like the Promaster 817938 however it's for the 67 - 72 year trucks so I'm not sure what mods would be required to fit it?
I ended up with the LMC exhaust. I have stock manifolds and the install required very little modification. I also have their mufflers not sure if I would get them again quality seems ok not so sure of the sound. I did have to buy hangers etc. they give you some stuff but it didn't work out for me.
