Lately I’ve noticed that when I make a turn in the truck and my butt moves an inch or two on the seat I can feel something below the seat cushion moving as well. Almost feels like something is popping inside.
I do have heated seats, if that matters?
I had the same thing.. a clicking and movement. I said something on the last service appointment and they said there was a service bulletin about that and fixed it. hasn't happened since.
They said it was something about a clip that was replaced. I honestly didn't dig into it as when I mentioned to the service rep I didn't expect them to fix and tell me it's normal.
Now I have to have them look at the steering wheel... I get a squeaking and very slight vibration coming from the column when I turn it.
It’s good that they fixed it. I’ll be taking my truck in for my first oil change here shortly and I’ll have them take a look at it.
One issue that I’m currently having is the steering wheel is not centered. It sits around the 11 o clock position, but the truck has no alignment issues it tracks perfectly straight.
when I had my 2019 truck I had the entire steering column replaced under warranty and when they put the new one on it was off-center.
The only way they could recenter the steering wheel was to do an entire alignment on the truck, which was on them.
since my truck only has about 4000 miles on it I know you get one free alignment within the first year or 12,000 miles, so I’m curious to know if they will try to say they will fix my steering wheel issue but it’s going to cost me the alignment Ford offers.

It's actually an extremely simple adjustment on the drag link, it does not require an "entire alignment". Not so sure about that only 1 alignment in the first year/12k. If they didn't get it right the first time, I don't see why they wouldn't correct it free of charge.

I bet some small town Ford mechanic at a dealer came up with this and proposed to HQ! That is usually how these things go. And if it saves them hundreds if not tens and tens of thousands of dollars, they run with it. Unfortunately, I have had to do the same thing in government work where they refuse to fund a fix and it is left to the worker bees to figure out a fix! Welcome to life!
