I have a 06 Lariat with factory 20" rims. Since I really like the looks of the rims, I'd like to keep them. But I'd like to add 2.5" front levelling and upgrade the tires.
Questions.
1. Do you guys have any other leveling kit you know works better?
2. Do you think I can install 35x12.5x20 without cutting any trimmings? Or am I better off with 33" ?
3. What would be the tallest and widest I could go with my current factory offset and rims? I currently have P275x60R20.
Our '08 came with an Icon kit installed. The PO told me he cranked it to the max of 3". I'm surprised at well it rides, even now with one blown front strut and both rear shocks are leaking.
It fits 315/70/17s with a tiny bit of rub at full lock, but that's dependent upon wheel selection.
That said, last I looked in '18 this kit was ~$2500, so it's in a different league from the spacer kit you're considering.
edit: he told me he had it aligned after installation and it does not wear tires unevenly, still on the same BFG's from October of '18, 40k+ miles later
I lowered my '07 front about 2-1/4" and the rear by 2" at least, but had I just removed rear 2" blocks and used shorter U bolts and left the front alone, I'd be pretty near to leveled. I stayed with stock 275/55-20 tires so can't say about your tires, but I think 33s would be OK as OEMs are near 32".
