Yes, my new Sears is oilless,noisy and probably will have a short life. When I bought it, I was in the middle of painting a car and bought the cheapest compressor that would do the job. I didn't even think about the type of compressor, until I plugged it in. When I heard it, I knew I had made a mistake! I guess I shouldn't cry yet, it is still working.

Want to find information on old Wards compressor

I have a old green wards air compressor, 105 psi, 1.5 HP motor 7 gallon tank. I just bought it for $ 40 bucks, works great. was wondering from what era this is from? I'm thinking 70's I have the serial number for it but cant any web sites to cross reference it?

any suggestions?
