Chipped block at timing cover

Any suggestions? I can’t tighten the bolt as is, so I’m afraid it will leak.

It might leak, it might not. I'd hit it with some RTV, and cross my fingers. Only real way to fix that properly, is to get it to a machine shop, and have it welded up, and machined/drilled/tapped. And I'm guessing that's a 5.0 Finding another block is probably cheaper.

+1 to what Faulken said. Small block ford's are cheap and easy to find.

Hmm...buddy bought a boat, motor same way, ran it 2yrs, before he sold it, clean the area very well, put JB Weld all on it and let cure, if the nut is made into stud, you could geta piece of stainless steel all thread, then JB Weld it, and have a nut to tighten up, if it happen to leak/weep.

I hit a rock that took a quarter size chunk of my Husqvarna Enduro bikes case out. That was in a test area Saturday and the race was Sunday. Since I was ten hours from home, I used JB weld for the hoped repair. It worked great and I finished the season with that bike and never had an issue with leaking. Proper preparation is everything with JB Weld.
