based on the sarcastic response from OP that is actually funny how easy it was to tell, I think that tells me lol. For my Defense I didn’t imagine the outside of the computer had a very clear to the point “CALIBRATION CODE” sticker on it but that would be the case it seems. Mine’s still inside its crevice. lol 😆

lol if you’re referring to the picture I posted, it wasn’t a sarcastic response to your question, that was the sticker on the B-pillar of the truck. I don’t know if the calibration code is on the pcm

I’m trying to decide if I should buy a refurbed one or have mine repaired by one of many places with a lifetime warranty (if they’re legitimate)

If they have an eBay storefront and a Website they are usually legit. Like if it’s professional and English that helps. A lot of them will have a website that uses a Amazon or eBay interface or uses it for payment but still has website that is usually still good because it’s actually in their best interest for you to have more safeguards from the third party and same for them. Kinda like using PayPal on your sketch **** site or cash app for strangers. It’s all about the covering your..behind.

almost walked into a goof right there

These guys did the original A9L from my 92GT after local capacitor replacement did not work.

Lifetime warranty if you don't break the security tape. Great rep, quick turnaround.

I wonder if anything else is wrong with mine or just the capacitors?

I don't think anyone can tell you the real answer to your question without testing it like the folks that have the proper testing equipment. I like to be in control of my destiny, therefor my reason for buying one from O'Rileys.

none of that is for testing the computer is it? I didn’t have trouble retrieving codes. I did have code 512 which is “keep alive memory fault”, could that be caused by a leaking capacitor? I’m just curious

yes, title is a little misleading it really walks you through, before you pull it, to open it, and your being refurbished, you open it and warranty no longer exist, it might show something doing the checks.
