Does anyone know if there is a way to customize the controls on the steering wheel to control the fan speed at minimum if not both fan speed and temperature?
My 05 Lariat had the controls designed into it. Now on the 10 year newer truck it is not present. The phone controls took the place.
When I started entertaining the idea of upgrading to much newer truck I wanted all bells and whistles of lariat plus whatever the engineers came up with that I wasn’t necessarily aware of. I thought, after seeing it, that dual temperature controls was going to be a great addition. What I think a negative is, now having it, is the awkward position of fan control. The gear shifter **** is in the direct path of the rocker switch for the fan speed control. See attached pictures.
I did look in the manual to see if I could find a way to set up, possibly, the left set of buttons for ac controls. I realize I may have just not have researched well. Can anyone provide information that I am not aware of?

Reason: Typo
There is no way to change it that I'm aware of, and I've dug pretty deep into the truck's settings. The left set of buttons are locked to controlling the gauge cluster and cruise control. You should be able to adjust the fan speed from the SYNC screen, however. Not ideal, but maybe better than reaching for the button.
I don’t mean to come across as someone that is always complaining about the truck. I do love it. I would, however, opt for either not having the dual climate control and put the fan control on the left **** or even do away with the phone control on the steering wheel to add this control there.
