I have a 92 explorer, i just had the clutch replaced and appartently you have to take part of the exhaust out to remove the tranny, well anyway i got it back and it was leeking a little throught nothing of it and it just got louder, so i brought it back and they re postioned it or something...OK it worked for 2 days and now its back to the same but louder, i know its comming out of the passenger side, but not sure the exact spot, i think its the pipe that connects to the manifold, not sure my machanic does, anyways, its kind of a far drive and i hate to keep going out there again is there something that has to be replaced or something when you remove the exhaust from the mainfold, from the cat back is all new about a year ago. does anyone know what this could be?? I want to try to avoid keep going back there b/c the guy is a friend and he gave me a great deal on the labor for the clutch, and i hate taking time from his other work, so if someone can give me a suggestion or something thanks.
Sounds like a couple of the bolts are loose or that a gasket is shot. Check all the bolts from the cat to the header... if all are tight, then there is a good chance a gasket is bad. Also check the pipe to see if there are any holes.
Thanks, i think its the gasket then, because i took it back at the begging of the week they repostioned it was quite then 2 days it started to leak again, do i have to replace the whole pipe of just the gasket??
