2020 F350 CCSB with spray in liner. I would like to add a bed mat help my knees and reduce items sliding around. I have some horse stall mat but it won't fill the wheel wells etc. What brands have you all used? I'm leaning towards the bedtred Impact. Is the tailgate piece able to be left off? I have a cover so no concerned about the mat flying out.
I used BedRug. It is about 3/4 inch thick and very kind to my arthritic knees. Down side it is very light and will fly out at highway speeds if not held down. I learned that the hard way. I used the Velcro provided plus a few stainless steel self tapping screws with large washers in strategic spots and have not had an issue since then. I've thrown all kinds of stuff in it and it cleans up pretty well with a shop vac. I also got the tail gate cover. I cut holes for the puck attachments for my fifth wheel hitch.
As soon as I get word that my truck will ship I’ll order the Bed Rug. Of course I don’t even have a VIN yet so that’ll be a while… I also included a tonneau cover in the build so it shouldn’t have any issues flying out. After seeing the Bed Rug in a KYD video though I knew immediately that’s what I wanted. Looks good and looks like it will be easy on the knees when crawling around.
Ford or DeeZee -- whichever you can find cheaper. Oh, and, post up some pix of your toy -- the Atlas, PSC, Currie, etc. stickers gave it away. Here's mine:
This is the same one I have. Very heavy duty and will probably last forever. Made from recycled material, so lots of blemishes. But my bed has a cover so appearances aren't too important.
If it's your body (not the truck's) that you're concerned about, BedRug is the way to go. I'm on my second. First was a full liner. This one is mat only because I have a tonneau and don't worry about it flying out. It's attached with hook & loop anyway. The rest of the bed has the modular Dualliner.
I put a Ford mat in my 2005 F-150 and it looked new when it left my stable 15 years later. So, I dropped a Ford one into my F-350. Otherwise, as others have said, DeeZee offer them. RoughCountry also has a cost-effective version.
These pics were taken for the toolbox, but show most of the mat. It's thick and fits great. Highly recommended.
TX Crawler - had a bunch of Jeeps over the years last one was a 15 JK on 37s Atlas 4spd TC. Wife hated riding in it so she would never go. Sold it and ordered the camper. We do that together. Camper should be done soon.
